How Do I Enable and Disable Blockchains in Emerald Wallet?

Whether you have one or several wallets inside Emerald, you can have several cryptocurrencies or blockchains enabled inside each wallet.

To enable blockchains in an existing wallet you need to follow these steps:

  1. Open the Emerald Wallet app.
  2. Open the wallet you want to add a blockchain to.
  3. At the top you will see the name or label of this wallet.
  4. To the right of the name or label you will see three dots, which is a menu to manage this particular wallet.
  5. Press the three dots to open the menu.
  6. Of the options in the menu press "Set Up Supported Coins".
  7. In the next screen you will see the enabled and disabled blockchains Emerald supports.
  8. To the right of each blockchain you will see a button to enable each blockchain.
  9. Press on that button for any blockchain you wish to enable.
  10. Press the "NEXT" button.
  11. Now Emerald will ask you for your password or global key for security reasons, enter it.
  12. Then, press "SAVE Changes".

Once you enable blockchains for a wallet inside Emerald, you cannot disable them for security reasons. This is because once you have accounts in a blockchain they will be there, publicly seen, and may be used forever so people may send you assets there. So, if you were to disable one, you may lose access to those accounts and value forever.
